About the role

We are looking for a Software Tester who wants to learn and break things to join our Product Development team. This team is responsible for building and maintaining our mobile and web applications. We use Laravel, Vue and MySQL in AWS along with Flutter for our mobile apps.

If your application is successful you will spend your time:

• defining test criteria  and deciding the best way to test a particular feature

• creating, and executing tests cases

• identifying defects and verifying fixes

• promoting a culture of quality amongst the team

• releasing our software

You should apply if you

• are unreasonably sceptical, enjoying uncovering defects, creating test reports, and suggesting areas for improvement to product managers and developers

• are confident analysing requirements along side product managers and developers

• are confident designing test cases to prove that the requirements are met and potential failure scenarios are thought through

• have excellent knowledge of Postman

• have a good understanding of testing techniques such as boundary value analysis, equivalence partitioning etc.

• want to learn test automation tooling

It would be nice if you

• have prior experience testing mobile applications

• have prior experience testing REST APIs and UIs within an automation testing framework

• have prior experience with Java or JavaScript

• understand web security

• have experience with Gatling, OWASP ZAP and Docker/Kubernetes

• have used Xray before

• have experience in the housing sector or compliance

Work location

The role is based in our London hub, located in Farringdon for 3 days a week.

Interview process

Our goal is to keep the interview process fairly simple to keep you engaged, but thorough enough to help us each understand if we’re a good fit for each other. 

This is what the process will look like for this role:

• Step 1: 30-min initial meeting to get to know each other with our QA Lead to  discuss your background and past experiences – so that we can understand if your skills and expertise match what we’re looking for

• Step 2: A technical interview with some of your peers

Throughout the process we’ll give you insights into Riskhub, our current product suite and vision for the future. We welcome any questions as we want to make sure you’re joining a team and company you’ll be excited to be part of.
