About the role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Fire Risk Assessor to join our team. As a Fire Risk Assessor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our clients facilities and the people within them. You will be responsible for assessing and identifying potential fire hazards, evaluating current fire safety measures, and providing recommendations to mitigate risks. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of fire safety regulations, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.


Key responsibilities

Conduct Fire Risk Assessment:

   - Perform thorough evaluations of buildings, facilities, and processes to identify potential fire hazards and assess the effectiveness of existing fire safety measures.

 

Regulatory Compliance:

   - Stay abreast of local, and national fire safety regulations and ensure that facilities comply with all applicable standards.

 

Documentation:

   - Prepare comprehensive reports documenting the findings of fire risk assessments, including identified hazards, recommended corrective actions, and timelines for implementation.

 

Collaboration:

   - Work closely with facility managers, safety officers, and other stakeholders to implement recommended fire safety measures and address identified risks.

 

Documentation and Reporting:

   - Maintain accurate records of assigned tasks, completed assessments, and any issues encountered.

 

Continuous Improvement:

   - Monitor and review fire safety protocols regularly, making recommendations for improvements and enhancements as needed. 


You should apply if:

   - Proven experience in a fire risk assessor or a related field.

    - Level 4 qualifications (Fire Safety).

   - Excellent organisational and time-management skills.

   - Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

   - Detail-oriented with a focus on quality assurance.

   - Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work well under pressure.


Nice to have:

    - Prior experience in specialised housing and complex properties.

The role is field - based with our head office located in London Farringdon.

Interview process

Our goal is to keep the interview process fairly simple to keep you engaged, but thorough enough to help us understand if you’re going to be a good fit for the team. It will be an approximately 60-min online meeting with the Operations Director to discuss your background and past experiences – so that we can understand if your skills and expertise match what we’re looking for.
